LECTURERS OF FACULTY OF DA'WAH AND ISLAMIC COMMUNICATION, IAIN KUDUS CONDUCTED INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY SERVICE IN COLLABORATION WITH FACULTY OF MULTIDISCIPLINARY AND SUSTAINABILITY STUDIES, i-CATS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, MALAYSIA IN KAMPUNG SUNGAI LUMUT, SARAWAK, MALAYSIA
Sarawak – Lecturers of the Faculty of Da'wah and Islamic Communication, IAIN Kudus carried out community service in collaboration with the Faculty of Multidisciplinary & Sustainability Studies i-CATS University Collage on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in Kampung Sungai Lumut, Sarawak, Malaysia. This community service was carried out by Sri Wahyuningsih, M.Pd., Yuliyatun, S.Ag., M.Si., Riza Zahriyal Falah, M.Pd.I., and Farikhatul 'Ubudiyah, M.A. entitled Strengthening Mental Health Awareness Based on Islamic Values.
This event was attended by the people of Kampung Sungai Lumut, Kampung Sungai Batu, and Kampung Sungai Berdaun with a total of 30 people. The event was held using the Focus Group Discussion method, lectures, and interspersed with ice breaking.
The Head of Kampung Sungai Lumut, also expressed his gratitude to Sungai Lumut village for being chosen as a location for community service. In addition, this is an honor for the village community.
The speech was also delivered by the dean of the Faculty of Da'wah and Islamic Communication IAIN Kudus, Dr. Hj. Siti Malaiha Dewi, S.Sos., M.Si., expressing her gratitude to FMSS i-CATS UC and Sungai Lumut village for providing the opportunity to organize the community service.
Public health awareness in the people of Sungai Lumut village is marked by access to religious guidance services every week. On this occasion, the community service team reported that people should have a strong faith and hope. (FU)
